AVPL (Audio-Video Performance License) operates on a royalty collection model, and there are no fees for membership. This Refund Policy outlines how we handle royalties and payments related to licenses and royalty distributions.

1. No Membership Fees

AVPL does not charge any membership fees. Membership is granted upon submission of a completed form, and there is no cost associated with becoming a member.

2. Refund Eligibility

While public performance licenses are non-refundable, there are certain circumstances in which AVPL may consider refund requests. These include:

  • Duplicate Payment: If a duplicate payment has been made by the licensee for the same license, AVPL will verify the transaction and issue a refund for the duplicate amount.
  • Incorrect Payment: If a payment was made in error (e.g., incorrect amount or payment made without a proper license request), AVPL will review the claim and, if validated, process a refund.
  • Non-Issuance of License: If the license has not been issued within 30 business days from the date of payment due to administrative delays or technical issues, the licensee may request a refund.

Refunds will only be considered in these cases after a thorough review and verification of the claim.

3. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, the licensee must follow the procedure outlined below:

  1. Send an email to ([email protected]) with the subject line “Refund Request.”
  2. Include the following details in the email:
    • Full Name
    • License Number (if applicable)
    • Transaction ID
    • Reason for Refund Request
    • Proof of Payment
  3. Our support team will acknowledge receipt of the request within 3 business days and review the claim within 10 business days.

Important: Refund requests must be submitted within 15 days from the date of payment. Requests made after this timeframe will not be considered.

4. Refund Timeframe

Once a refund request has been approved, AVPL will process the refund within 7 to 14 business days. The time it takes for the refunded amount to reflect in the licensee’s account depends on their bank or payment service provider. Licensees are advised to follow up with their financial institution if the refund does not appear within the given timeframe.
